The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) is pleased to announce scholarship slots under Atal Bihari Vajpayee General Scholarship Scheme (A1201) at Indian Universities/Institutes for the academic year 2026-27. Interested candidates may visit https://a2ascholarships.iccr.gov.in.

Charges payable by the student

Hostel/private, Accommodation charges, mess charges, security deposit, caution money, fees for obtaining all certificate, registration fees/penalties for registration/updation with immigration authorities, any other fees/charges which are not covered under scholarship norms.

2. Only Universities/Institutes having excellent academic reputation and providing requisite facilities to host foreign students have been selected. According to A2A process, applicants will be directly sent by students to respective universities. Applicants have the option to apply to 5 Universities/Institutes in the order of their preference of study. The admission, as far as possible, shall be given as per the applicant’s preference.

3. For admission, applicant will be required to write a 500-word essay in English language. Besides, students can also submit their TOFEL / IELTS etc. standardised Test scores, if available.

4. Updated guidelines for students/candidates are also attached.

5. It is compulsory for all ICCR scholarship students to procure Medical Insurance Policy with minimum sum assured for Indian Rupees Five Lakhs per annum.
